When Loran Associates searched for marketing companies in NJ, they needed an agency that could convincingly communicate who they are – a passionate designer/fabricator of custom trade show exhibits and interiors for the world’s top brands.
The first time we walked in their door, we were impressed by the amount of productivity and creativity going on inside their 85,000+ square foot facility. Meetings were taking place, people were looking at 3D renderings, graphics were being printed and there was an ever-present din of routers and nail guns in the distance. We knew right away that touring the facility would close the deal for most of Loran’s prospects, but we also knew that a site visit wouldn’t always be practical. It was clear that an overview video was the best way to bring that experience across remotely.
After several months focusing on re-launching Loran’s website, email marketing and print collateral, the video project got the green light. Click below to see how it turned out:
How did we go about capturing all that Loran does, as well as the special relationship they have with their clients, in less than five minutes of video? It was no small task.
We called on our frequent collaborator, adventure filmmaker Alex Williams of Videotrekker Films and hit the road. First to Loran’s facility in Randolph, NJ, to capture time-lapse footage of a massive booth being built, then out to Las Vegas for CES to film client interviews and finished exhibits. Finally, it was back to New Jersey for more interviews, construction B-roll and editing.
The project was a lot of fun and we’re all proud of the results. Laura O’Donnell of Loran Associates had this to say, “I am amazed at the finished product Ridge has delivered for us. We have had overwhelmingly positive feedback on the final result, and we couldn’t be happier. The quality of the video, along with the subtle, yet impactful, nuances they were able to insert into both this video and all of their work for us is what sets them apart from their competitors.
The video seems to be doing its job already: a top home furniture and accessories company recently signed with Loran, and the video was noted as a convincing factor in the sales process. Next, it’s time to promote the video via Loran’s website, email campaigns and sales materials.
